Long story short.
ZILLA is a 5-piece outfit based out of Boston. Formed in the summer of 2014, the band was founded by front woman, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Meredith Snyder and powerhouse lead vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Adam Eugene Moore as a means of performing Meredith’s original music. Meredith and Adam joined forces as songwriters, and after a period of intense gigging and growth, the band emerged in its current state with a renewed energy and creativity, ready to take the world on a psychedelic love train to outer space. Alongside Meredith and Adam is their long-time band member and collaborator Tyler Last, Josh Strmic; a magician behind the drum kit, and Sally Stempler; an angelic golden blanket of soprano vocal parts.
During their time together the band has actively pioneered their own sound that emanates from a love of combining modern sensibilities, and arrangements with classic rock and soul influences. This has resulted in a totally unique sound characterized by soaring vocal harmonies, blistering guitar solos, and a deep pocket, giving birth to the term, “monster-soul.”
The band released their debut E.P. “DreamState” in May of 2016 and is currently in the midst of recording their first single.
"A knockout combination of of multi-tasking musicians that juggle complex rhythmic arrangements...while locking into harmonious vocal grooves that would give angels chills...the group (takes) listeners on a journey through pop-funk odysseys."
*We Play Too Much
"The Boston group...sounds like a home-cooked meal tastes, with songs seemingly proportioned by what feels right rather than what any cookbook has to say."
